Marine Pellegrini, the artist behind Erotic Market, is no stranger to reinvention. Hailing from Lyon, she has more than nine albums to her credit, notably with N’Relax and Polymorphie. Her music is instinctive, crafted with a scholar’s curiosity for jazz, trip-hop, and electronic sounds. Her work feels like stepping into a secret garden where Lana Del Rey, Lianne La Havas, and Julia Stone might coexist. Both vulnerable and raw, her voice carries the weight of her inner battles – from a shy tomboy obsessed with Erykah Badu to the self-assured artist who now commands the stage.
To bring Marla Pillow to life, Marine worked closely with multi-instrumentalist Romain Montiel and producer Julien Jussey. Over two months in La Ciergerie studio, they created an organic, luminous album. With poetic metaphors, intricate rhythms, and raw instrumentation, this new opus tells stories of motherhood, mourning, and resilience. It is a celebration of femininity – ordinary, regal, and deeply human.
