STATE CHAMPS S/t – Vinyl LP (golden pearl marble)

Pressing info : First press on golden pearl marbled vinyl LP.

Silver Cloud: Silver Cloud sets the tone immensely as State Champs first single for their Self Titled album. Taking influence from Good Charlotte and Sum 41, this track is a lyrical journey about breaking the mold of the typical, repetitive, day to day routine with a sonically catchy, nostalgic punch in the face. Too Late To Say: Too Late To Say showcases a refreshing, new, vulnerable side to State Champs. Although the youthful, polished, aggressive bounce of this one brings a positive excitement, It’s ultimately a song about being scared, and how that’s okay! Blink-182 fans will latch on to this one very quickly. Light Blue: Have you ever been transported back in time, for better or for worse, simply by the smell of something or someone? Inspired by Dan & Shay’s “Tequila”, Champs puts their energetic spin on this concept with Light Blue. A light-hearted track that reminiscences and rollercoaster’s between airy, bouncy guitars and pop arrangements to a full-blown fuzzedout chorus that will have you banging your head in between memories you didn’t ask to be dug back up. Save Face Story: Save Face Story, one of our personal favorites from the record, spotlights an unlikely friendship between State Champs and German-based Hardcore Funk band Slope, providing one of the most exciting and effortlessly cool collaborations Champs has ever done. On paper, the combination might not make total sense, but the result speaks for itself – It’s perhaps an unexpected curve ball added to the rotation of State Champs’ very familiar brand of windows-down pop punk, and now 5 full-length records into their career, their knack for writing a massive song is impossible to argue with.
